Organic MCT C8 oil
Healthwell MCT C8 Oil ECO is an organic liquid MCT oil of the highest quality, with at least 95% caprylic acid. MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides (medium triglycerides) and is a type of fatty acid extracted from coconut oil. These fatty acids can be easily and quickly used as energy by the body without being stored as fat. Ideal for those who eat according to the keto diet, who want to boost the body before physical activity or who are just looking for a fast and useful energy source. Healthwell MCT C8 Oil ECO is a completely taste-neutral oil that can be used in dishes, added to coffee/tea or taken as is. Convenient and healthy!

What is caprylic acid?
Caprylic acid, or C8 as it is called, is commonly considered to be the most potent fatty acid in MCT oil. This fatty acid has become very popular as it’s very easy for the body to assimilate, and partly because it is used directly as a fuel without contributing to fat storage in the body. The reason why caprylic acid is so easy to absorb has to do with its structure. Fatty acids usually consist of long chains of carbon atoms with an acid group at one end. The longer these chains are, the harder they are for the body to break down. Caprylic acid has a shorter chain length with only 8 carbon atoms, which makes it easier to break down. Unlike other fatty acids, caprylic acid does not need bile or enzymes to be broken down, but is instead taken up directly in the intestine. This makes it gentle on the stomach as it does not strain the digestive system.
How to use MCT oil
Healthwell MCT C8 Oil ECO is completely tasteless and is therefore easy to use in your daily diet. You can use it in smoothies, dressings and salads, for example. It is also popular to use MCT oil in coffee to make so-called “bulletproof coffee”, which is popular in low-carbohydrate diets such as keto and LCHF. Because MCT oil is absorbed quickly by the body, it’s great for those who want to boost their energy levels before, for example, exercise. There are also studies that suggest that MCT oil may be beneficial for fat burning and counteract obesity (1).
What does it mean that our MCT oil is EU organic?
In organic food production, biodiversity, the conservation of natural resources, environmental practices and strict animal welfare are observed (2). In order for a product to be labeled as EU-organic, the label used within the EU, a product must meet strict conditions that apply to the entire production chain. The product must contain at least 95% organic ingredients, and the other 5% must meet additional strict conditions (2).
In organic crop production, it is important to promote soil fertility and to allow for perennial crop rotation and a cycle of organic material. Therefore, fertilizers, compost and plant protection products should only be used if they comply with the principles and objectives of organic production. In general, the EU requires that an organic food must be produced without synthetically produced chemical pesticides and without artificial fertilizers. In organic production, genetic engineering is also prohibited. In addition, organic production should rely mainly on renewable resources (2).
