Natural vitamin C
Vitamin C 1000 Plus from Healthwell is a high-dose supplement of vitamin C. In these tablets, the vitamin C comes from ascorbic acid and rosehip extract. They also contain citrus bioflavonoids for increased absorption and are completely vegetable-based. Vitamin D promotes normal function of the immune system and is particularly popular during the winter. Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant that protects the cells against oxidative stress. With Vitamin C 1000 Plus, you can ensure your vitamin C intake all year round. The tablets have a score line for easy breaking and swallowing.

Bioflavonoids for increased absorption
We have added bioflavonoids to our Vitamin C 1000 Plus, as they interact with vitamin C. Bioflavonoids both increase absorption and enhance the function of vitamin C. Bioflavonoids are sometimes called vitamin P, where the P stands for “permeability”. The word “flavon” comes from the Latin word flavius, which means yellow, and flavonoids are found naturally in many plants with a yellow, red, or orange colour. In addition to promoting the absorption of vitamin C, the bioflavonoids also protect the vitamin from being destroyed by oxygenation. Vitamin C is, in addition to a powerful antioxidant, an important vitamin in the body's own production of collagen that contributes to normal health of the joints and to supple, moisturised skin.
Ascorbic acid and rosehip extract
Ascorbic acid is perhaps better known as vitamin C and is a low pH substance. Its structure is crystal-like with a tangy taste. Humans are one of the few species, along with monkeys and guinea pigs, who are not able to produce ascorbic acid on our own. This means that we need to add it through our diet.
Vitamin C 1000 Plus also contains rosehip extract. Rosehip is a healthy, colourful fruit that, besides being rich in vitamin C, is packed with other important nutrients. Rosehip is actually our most vitamin C-rich food of all the fruits and berries. If you were to replace two decilitres of rosehip with lemons, you would have to eat one kilogram of lemons in order to get the same amount of vitamin C.
